Square Limestone Basin on an Iron Stand

A square cut limestone block with a round bowl scooped out of its centre and a flat ledge left behind it wide enough for taps. The rim is squared and the sides are cut straight, finishing in a ragged broken edge along the base that has been kept rather than tidied. The stone is bone pale and heavily pitted throughout. It is shown resting on a slim wrought iron stand at 33 inches high, the contrast of thin metal and heavy stone doing the work. Suited to powder rooms, primary bathrooms and boutique hotel washrooms.
