Carved Stone Trough Basin with Ram Masks

A rectangular trough basin carved in pale close grained stone, with a moulded rim running the full way round and a stepped moulded base below. The long front face carries a thick laurel wreath at the centre, held between two ram head masks whose horns curl into deep spiral volutes at the corners. The carving is crisp but softened by weathering, and the stone has greyed in the hollows. Photographed outdoors on leaf litter, it reads at garden scale. Suited to courtyards, outdoor kitchens, spa and pool environments and estate grounds.
