Round Limestone Vessel Basin with Lug Handles

A small round vessel basin hollowed from a single piece of stone, its outer wall swelling to a soft curve and four blunt lug handles projecting from the rim at the quarters. The bowl inside is smooth and shallow, the rim worn unevenly and crusted with pale mineral deposit over mottled grey stone. At 18 inches across and 7.5 inches high it sits on a counter rather than into it. Suited to powder rooms, guest cloakrooms, boot rooms and hospitality washrooms where a countertop antique stone basin is wanted.
