Hand Carved Limestone Basin with Rounded Trough

A shallow sink hand carved from one block of warm cream limestone, the trough rounded at both ends and sloping gently toward its base. Chisel marks run across the whole of the interior, and the rim is low, uneven and softly broken at the corners. Rust coloured mineral staining has settled into the stone at one end. At 24 inches wide and only 5 inches high it drops neatly into a counter. Suited to powder rooms, utility and boot rooms, outdoor kitchens and courtyard washing points.
